A lovely deceptively spacious two bedroomed two storey cottage which very comfortably sleeps 6 using a pull out sofa and one portable bed.Aircon (warm and cool) to lounge area. It is possible to increase to 7 using one portable cot. Cot and highchair supplied free of charge on request.
Monte Graca is a small Quinta (farm) in a semi- rural setting on outskirts of Quelfes, close to Moncarapacho and Olhao in the lovely unspoilt Eastern Algarve. Offering 3 self contained cottages. All very well equipped, modernised and of high quality. Each with external seating areas and BBQ. Superb beaches and beach islands only 10+ mins drive away. Wonderful golf courses all within 10-25 mins from the cottage. Small bistro/restaurant approx 10 mins walk. Faro airport 20+ mins by car.. Seville airport 1 hr 45 mins, Lisbon airport 2.5 hrs.
Car hire essential to enjoy this peaceful location and the lovely unspoilt low cost Eastern Algarve.
Casa Kika has a lounge with 2 sofas, coffee table, large sideboard. Satellite TV with basic freeview British channels + BBC/ITV. Also a DVD player which plays CDs. New for 2011 will be aircon (warm and cool) for the lounge area to ensure your maximum enjoyment of the cottage. (During summer months electric fans will be supplied for bedrooms. For winter months there will be oil filled radiators supplied for bedrooms).
There is a separate dining room with large table and seats 6. The kitchen is modern with gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, kettle, coffee machine and fully equipped with everything you need.
The two double bedrooms have cupboards/dressing table. One bedroom is big enough to accommodate a portable bed or child cot. Capacity is increased to 6 using pull out sofa in the lounge area and a portable bed in first floor mezzanine area which can be screened off for privacy.
There are two very modern and well equipped shower rooms, each with toilet, bidet, vanity unit, mirror lights, shaver points and separate shower cubicle.
Outside there are two seating areas for own use. The front area is very spacious with large table 6 chairs and surround seating for many more people.. Lots of shade. To the rear of the cottage is a second large private seating area, with chairs/table and large BBQ. Small paddling pool for children to play will be available 2011. There is also a hammock in shade.
The entire cottage has been beautifully modernised but retaining some original features including the exposure of some of the original stone walls and some wonderful stone ceilings in one bedroom. All windows are double glazed and all bedrooms have mosquito nets fitted. .
All linen and towels supplied except for cot linen. Please clarify at time of booking if you require cot/high chair.
Prices shown include all linen/towels, water and cost of gas. Does not include cost of electricity which is paid on departure. (Cost should be nominal at around 12 cents + IVA per unit used). Cleaning is not included but you can arrange this locally if you wish at low cost..
CASA KIKA is available from early November to end of March on LONG LET (minimum 4 weeks) at only £454 per month excluding cost of electricity/gas.
CASA KIKA is available April through to end of October at WEEKLY rates excluding cost of electricity.

The cottage is of traditional style with thick walls and new for 2011 will be aircon (cool and warm) for lounge area, with electric fans / oil filled radiators for other times in the year.
The owners live on site and will welcome you on arrival. The property is electronically gated and you will be provided with cottage keys and fob to open/close gates to allow access any time. There is plenty of car parking space. The cottage is surrounded by lovely gardens and you can walk over any part of the property.
IMPORTANT: There are 5 quite lovely dogs on the property (see photographs). 4 daft female Dalmatians and a tiny male called Scooby. They are very friendly, especially for a rich tea biscuit (!) but if you do not like the attention of dogs then please do not selec t this property, But if you like dogs, enjoy their attention especially when BBQ-ing (!) then you will love this cottage.

THINGS TO DO, PLACES TO VISIT
The cottage is on the outskirts of Quelfes, close to Moncarapacho and Olhao, a short car ride to numerous beach islands and superb golf courses.
Within easy reach of Tavira described as loveliest town in the Algarve with over 30 churches, a Pousadda and lovely town centre. Close to Estoi with Roman ruins and a Rococo palace now opened as a Pousadda. Olhao is an excellent bustling town only 6/7 mins drive away with its own fishing port, lots of hypermarkets, excellent daily fresh fish and fruit/veg markets and numerous fish restaurants. Villa Real a 16th century town on the Spanish border is only 20+ mins drive away.
From Tavira, Olhao and Cabanas you can travel by boat or small train to many superb offshore island beaches. Close by is the Rio Formosa National Park with excellent walks, birdwatching and protected beaches.
Our local beach is in Fusetta, approx 10 minutes drive away, again with small boat to a wonderful beach island across the lagoon.
Moncarapacho is just a few kilometers away with shops, many excellent restaurants, dentist, bank, museum, pharmacy, bars, local market, kiost for newspapers.
Only a gentle 10 minute walk from the cottage is a superb local bistro restaurant offering a broad range of excellent low cost food where you will find it difficult to spend more than 8/9 euros including local wine at 4 euros a one litre jar. It may take you longer to walk back to the cottage!!!
